Pythagorean Theorem

This quilt visually demonstrates the meaning of the Pythagorean Theorem. It is based on an ancient floor tiling.

Find the two square quilt blocks. The one on the left has 4 right triangles and one big square (named c-squared). The one on the right has 4 right triangles and two squares (named a-squared and b-squared).

Right Triangle abc is shown next to four of his triangle friends and squares a-squared and b-squared.
